about resident learning hub

where it started

where it started

where it started

The Resident Learning Hub began as a successful proof of concept between SEEDL and Rushmoor Borough Council. Already delivering unlimited workplace learning to Hampshire businesses, SEEDL was approached to extend the service directly to local residents. This led to the launch of Rushmoor Works. After hundreds of residents enrolled and completed courses during the pilot, the council encouraged SEEDL to expand the model further. The Resident Learning Hub was established to scale this proven approach to local authorities & BIDs (Business Improvement District) nationwide.

Formally launched in October 2026, we are now rolling out three new community hubs each month.

In partnership with the Local Authority or a BID, the Resident Learning Hub launches across UK towns and cities under its own dedicated website, delivering a simple promise: unlimited, free learning at the point of access for every local resident. No card details, no trial periods, and no catch. Residents gain immediate access to a comprehensive curriculum covering workplace readiness, artificial intelligence, Microsoft 365, and mental wellness, through to project management and team leadership. SEEDL supplies the heavily subsidised learning platform and integrated jobs board, while our team secures regional business sponsors to fund and deliver an active, joint marketing campaign right across your borough.

Our mission is simple: to remove the barriers to learning and employment across every corner of the UK.  We recognise the acute budget pressures facing both local residents, town centres and local authorities. That is why we work directly alongside your community to engage forward-thinking local employers, businesses that share our commitment and want to develop capable, motivated candidates for their own workforce.

Our dedicated platform offers an expanded curriculum of accredited courses, alongside a free jobs board enabling local employers to recruit residents who are actively investing in their own professional development. In 2027, we will take the Resident Learning Hub on the road, delivering an interactive learning roadshow across participating council areas.

Whether you are a Local Authority or BID looking to launch a dedicated service for your community, or a business seeking to sponsor the initiative, you have found the right place. Bringing the Resident Learning Hub to your town is rapid, straightforward, and collaborative. Councils or BIDs simply confirm their boundary postcodes, while we tailor the local prospectus, coordinate the sponsor campaign, and manage full delivery.

Local businesses can secure one of just eight exclusive sponsor positions, gaining widespread exposure across printed guides, community flyers, library signage, and careers events.

Together, we remove barriers, support local employers, and deliver free, accredited learning to every resident.
